FOUNDER
CHRISTIAN HAMMONS
Christian is a Minister of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas the second child of 3 born to his parents, Duane Hammons and Melonie Iglehart-Hammons. His faith traces its roots back to the largest historically black pentecostal church in the world, The Church of God in Christ, from which he comes from a family heritage of Church leaders, and being is a true son of the Church.
Upon completing both a Bachelors degree in music and a Masters degree in biblical and theological studies, in March of 2020, he began producing and recording music under the artist name Matheten as an outlet to express the musical gifts God has given him.
Later in 2022, this endeavor grew into an outlet for his ministry gifts as well and Christian formed Matheten Inc as a Non-Profit Organization, in order to facilitate the ministry God gave him. As time went on Christian's ministry work matured and what started out as an outlet to express his creativity grew into an Apostolic Prophetic mantle and an expression of Christian faith, life, and work. In 2025, Christian reformed his NPO, Matheten Inc, into The Christian Company and established multiple brands including Matheten. Throughout his journey the mandate of his work has remained the same according to Ephesians 4:7-11 Christian has been sent by God to build, to plant, to reach, and to teach.
"But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: “When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.” (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
