OUR VALUES

FOUNDER

Christian Hammons

Christian was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas the second child of 3 born to his parents, Duane and Melonie. His faith traces its roots back to the largest historically black pentecostal church in the world, The Church of God in Christ, from which he is a true son of what was formerly known as the Texas Southwest Jurisdiction. Upon completing both a Bachelors degree in music and a Masters degree in biblical and theological studies, in March of 2020, he began producing and recording music under the artist name Matheten as an outlet to express the musical gifts God has given him. Later in 2022,  this endeavor grew into an outlet for his ministry gifts as well and Christian formed Matheten Inc as a Non-Profit Organization, in order to facilitate the ministry God gave him. As time went on Christian's ministry work matured and what started out as an outlet to express his creativity grew into an Apostolic Prophetic mantle with an evangelistic grace to reach people, cities, regions, and nations. In 2025, Christian reformed his NPO, Matheten Inc, into The Christian Company and established multiple brands including Matheten, Matheten University & One Name Entertainment.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

* The Human phraseology employed in these statements are not inspired nor contended for but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full Christian ministry.

OUR BELIeF ABOUT GOD

We believe there is one God eternally existent in three persons: God our Father, Christ his son, and the Holy Spirit.

OUR BELIeF ABOUT CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God. He was born through the virgin Mary, a descendant of King David, and was fully God and fully man. We believe that Jesus lived a guiltless & sinless life, died in behalf of our sins, was buried, resurrected on the third day, ascended into heaven. We believe that we are living in the last days and that Christ is soon to return to receive his people, and judge the world.

OUR BELIeF ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent to comfort and guide believers into all truth; continually transforming us into the image of Christ, and empowering us, through the gifts of the spirit, to be witnesses of Jesus Christ today. Therefore we believe that it is for every believer to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and with fire.

OUR BELIEF ABOUT THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is trustworthy for it contains the Holy Scriptures, which are inspired by God. Therefore making it adequate, and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servants of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

OUR BELIEF
ABOUT SALVATION

We believe that the only means of receiving salvation, as in being set free from the power of sin, released from the penalty of sin, and being made righteous before God by receiving the forgiveness of our sins, is through repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ' sacrifice on the cross. Therefore it is through remaining in this Gospel that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, receiving the gift of eternal life.

OUR BELIEF
ABOUT HOLINESS & SANCTIFICATION

We believe God is Holy and that he has called His Church which is in Christ to be Holy as he is Holy; and that it is through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit that we are washed by the Word of God and empowered to lay aside every sin and hinderance to our relationship with God in order to live a set apart life in this present world.

THE ORDINANCE OF WATER BAPTISM

As commanded by the scriptures all who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. Through Water Baptism the believer demonstrates, in this outward expression, the inward change God has performed in their life. Declaring that they believe The Gospel of Jesus Christ, and having died with Him they also have been raised with him to walk in the newness of life.

THE ORDINANCE OF
HOLY COMMUNION

As commanded by the Lord Jesus believers are to remember the life suffering, death, and resurrection of the Lord through the taking of Holy communion. The Lord's supper consist of two elements; the bread, symbolizing the physical body of Christ that was broken on our behalf, and the fruit of the vine, symbolizing the new covenant we have received through the shedding of his blood in behalf of our sins.
